Within a few years we'd grown across Durham, Sunderland and Newcastle. Not by acquiring anyone. Not by undercutting anyone. By keeping the trades in-house, keeping the standards up, and keeping the phones manned.

I started ATKINSONS because finding a builder you could actually trust in the North East was harder than it should have been. Too many firms over-promise, under-deliver, then disappear halfway through the job.
So we built something different. Every trade in-house. One number, one team, one accountable contractor from day one to handover. Whether it's a kitchen, a basement, a council contract or a 24-hour emergency, the standard doesn't move.
We hire local. We train local. We sponsor local. The lads on your job grew up round here. They take it personally when the work isn't right because their name's on the van.
