Home / Business / Business maintenance / Care and nursing homes
Maintenance, repairs and refurbishment for care homes and nursing homes across the North East, carried out around residents, staff and visitors.

A care or nursing home never closes. Residents are there all day and night, staff are busy, and many of the people living there are vulnerable. Maintenance has to be done safely, quietly and to a standard that stands up to inspection.
We plan work around the home's routine, agree access and noisy hours with the manager, keep work areas sealed and clean, and leave every room safe to use at the end of each day.
Because every trade is on our own books, a home has one contractor and one number for everything: heating, hot water, electrics, call-point power, doors, flooring, roofs and redecoration.
Servicing and replacement of thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs), so bath and shower water for vulnerable residents doesn't exceed 44°C, in line with HSE guidance.
Plumbing work that supports your Legionella risk assessment: removing dead legs, fixing temperatures, replacing cylinders and outlets.
Commercial boilers, heating systems, radiator guards and annual gas safety checks by Gas Safe engineers.
Fixed wire testing (EICRs), remedial work, lighting upgrades and power for equipment, NICEIC certified.
Fitting and checking robust window restrictors, typically limiting openings to 100mm, to reduce the risk of falls, as HSE guidance recommends.
Wet rooms, level-access showers, grab rails and accessible bathrooms.
Turning rooms around between residents: repairs, flooring, decoration and certificates, done quickly.
Roof repairs, gutters, doors, flooring, ceilings, paths and ramps.
Before any work starts we agree the plan with the home manager: which rooms, which hours, how residents will be moved or protected, and who signs off each area. Operatives sign in and out, wear ID and follow the home's own rules, including infection control.
Noisy and dusty work is scheduled for agreed times, work areas are sealed and cleaned daily, and nothing is left unsafe overnight. If your setting has specific requirements for contractor checks, tell us and we'll confirm them before we start.
After every visit you get a job report with photos and, where the work requires it, certificates for your records and inspections.
We can look after a single home or a group, with planned maintenance to a schedule, reactive repairs on agreed response times, or both under one contract. See business maintenance for how our contracts work, and our compliance page for insurance, accreditations and policies.

In writing, in plain English. No surprises in the small print.
Tell us the work, the property, your timescale and budget through our quick form, and upload any plans or photos. Everything in one place from the start.
We review what you've sent and decide the best next step, whether that's pricing straight away or sorting drawings, planning or building control first.
Where it's needed, we come and look properly: access, structure, levels and anything affecting the cost. Your chance to ask questions before we quote.
A clear, transparent quote setting out what's included, assumed and excluded, with a payment structure. Confidence in what you're accepting, not a one-line price.
Once you're happy, we sort dates, materials, access and building control before anyone lifts a tool, so the job runs smoothly on site.
Our team arrives clear on the agreed scope, keeps the site tidy, communicates as we go and respects your home throughout.
